Wedding Venues Showcase – English Heritage

English Heritage is a registered charity that manages over 400 of England’s historic buildings, sites and monuments. Spanning more than 5,000 years of history its portfolio includes Stonehenge, Dover Castle, Tintagel Castle and parts of Hadrian’s Wall.

Due to English Heritage’s impressive collection of historic buildings it is well placed to offer some of the country’s most impressive wedding venues. English heritage is running a number of showcases that allow would be brides and grooms to view the venues and facilities and also connect them with local suppliers.

Kenwood Wedding Showcase

Date: Saturday 25th February

Situated in the rolling hills of Hampstead Heath, Kenwood House is a beautifully elegant Georgian villa with graceful white stucco exteriors and leafy parkland. Built in the 18th century, it is now home to a world class art collection and provides a truly unforgettable venue for your wedding.

Eltham Palace Wedding Showcase

Date: Thursday 2nd March

An important royal palace between the 14th and 16th centuries, it wasn’t until the 1930s that the incredible new house was added by the Courtaulds. Now a stunning marriage of medieval and modern architecture, it’s easy to see how Eltham Palace has become one of London’s most fashionable and sophisticated venues for wedding ceremonies and receptions.

Wrest Park Wedding Showcase

Date: Sunday 5th March

Wrest Park has been home to the de Grey family for over 600 years, with each owner leaving their own creative mark on the house and grounds. Between 1834 and 1839, the new house was built, looking every inch like a grand French Chateau in the 90 acres of magical landscape.

With 6 choices of ceremony and reception rooms, including marquees, come along to Wrest Park’s showcase and meet our dedicated Hospitality Event Co-ordinators and local suppliers who want to make your dream wedding come true.

Osborne Wedding Showcase

Date: Sunday 12th March

Queen Victoria said that “it is impossible to imagine a prettier spot” than the one which Osborne sits upon. Bought by the Queen and Prince Albert, they built a new house as a safe haven for their growing family where they could escape the rigours of court life. With a private beach, it is the ideal location for a destination wedding without leaving the UK.

St Mawes Castle Wedding Showcase

Date: Saturday 18th March

One of the best preserved of Henry VIII’s coastal castles, St Mawes Castle helped to protect the Cornish coast from invasion for over 400 years. With relatively little development over the years, you are still able to see the elaborate decorations praising Henry VIII and his son Edward VI.

Discover this charming coastal castle on Saturday 18 March when the castle will dressed for a wedding. On Sunday 19 March, visit its sister castle, Pendennis Castle, where you can meet some of the best local suppliers and our Hospitality team who’ll help plan your perfect day.

Pendennis Castle Wedding Showcase

Date: Sunday 19th March

Pendennis Castle, has also helped to protect the Cornish coast from invasion for over 400 years. Although the site has been regular updated throughout the centuries, the most impressive addition was the Royal Artillery Barracks, which is ideal for wedding receptions.

Join us for our wedding showcase on Sunday 19 March and to see the castle keep dressed for a wedding ceremony, the Royal Artillery Barracks dressed for a wedding reception and discuss all the details of your prefect day with some of the best local suppliers and our dedicated Hospitality team.
