Fusing luxury and charm in an idyllic rural setting, nestled between ancient woodland and beautiful Welsh countryside, Tyn Dwr Hall in Denbighshire is a magical wedding venue you and your guests will remember forever. Offering an enchanting escape from reality, Tyn Dwr Hall is perfect for city couples and is easy to get to – it’s just 40 minutes from Chester, which is only two hours by train from London. Tyn Dwr Hall is also within easy reach of most Cheshire towns including as Congleton, Macclesfield, and Wilmslow.

As you roll up the drive, lined with Douglas fir and birch trees, you’ll be greeted by the hall’s mock Tudor exterior. Built in 1866, Tyn Dwr Hall is anything but ordinary with slanted walls, a bell tower, turrets and huge, grand windows offering views from the ornate inside to the refreshing and lush outside.

On your special day, your guests will be led from the entrance hall, complete with piano, fireplace and intricately high patterned ceiling to the Drawing Room, which is bright and inviting with beautiful stained glass windows. Just off of this is an additional room with one of the most striking fireplaces at Tyn Dwr Hall, handcrafted by Bavarian craftsmen in 1862. The Library is also a great space to host welcome drinks or canapes before your ceremony.

The Ballroom is an elegant and open space for your ceremony and can be filled with candles and flowers to make the most of the fresh, white décor. From their seats, your guests will be able to see you and your betrothed in front of a grand sandstone fireplace and mirrors, as well as the impressive grounds through the light-enticing windows. The bell in the bell tower can also be rung from the Ballroom – a brilliant way to mark the beginning of your next chapter!

Should you wish to make the most of the good weather, outdoor weddings are also welcome at Tyn Dwr Hall. And wherever you hold your ceremony, the stunning garden and grounds provide the perfect backdrop for your photographs. Pose on the venue’s very own waterfall on the stream that runs through Tyn Dwr Hall, take a walk with your bridal party along Woodman’s Walk or in front of one of Wales’ oldest and largest Yew Trees and smile in front of the fire pit, shrouded by ancient woodland. Come evening, why not roast marshmallows or treat your guests to a hog roast here?
The accommodation at Tyn Dwr Hall is in keeping with the sophisticated yet relaxed and rural tone of the place. There are 10 rooms with space for up to 50 people as well as three bridal suites, Snow Drop, Bluebell and Lily of the Valley, and all look out over different areas of this stunning venue. For the rest of your party, the local accommodation options are plentiful and all exude a similar country-luxe charm. There’s a bridal preparation room at Tyn Dwr Hall too, Serendipity, providing you and your bridesmaids with a private space to get dressed and enjoy something from the secret bar before the main event.
