What can I say!
The venue - we walked in for a wedding fair and fell in love with it! The pictures do not do it justice. The venue changes as it gets darker due to the lighting and positions of the windows. A definite wow!
The staff - ultra professional and thoughtful from the planners Nancy & Claire to the waiting and bar staff - thanks isn't enough of a word
The wedding - fantastic, amazing, sumptuous I could go on! We had an owl deliver the rings and this really worked in the venue. The food was amazing and diolch (thanks ) to the chef
Great venue for weddings & corporate events

Old Gorton Monastery, was for years neglected after the monks left... However, it has been lovingly restored into a wonderful wedding/conference venue. While some work still remains to be done around the high altar, what has been done is a testament to the trust that took over it's running. Photographs don't do it justice, I was there for a wedding recently and the groom banned anyone entering the old chapel until just before the ceremony- when everyone entered the chapel there was a sharp intake of breath in awe at the interior. The wedding was managed and catered by Gorton staff, who from talking to the bride & groom, did everything possible to cater for their big day.

We first saw the venue at a wedding fair and we were sold on it as soon as we saw it. Gaynor, Nancy, Claire and ALL the staff truly helped make our day amazing. Every guest we spoke to was truly blown away by the venue and all the effort to make it amazing. I look back as if it was a dream. It is a venue that changes throughout the day and with changes in light, but is always stunning and will truly take your breath away. Also diolch yn fawr i'r chef, oedd yr bwyd yn blasus iawn. Thank you for creating memories x
