As one of the world’s most famous beautiful ships, Cutty Sark is a truly awe-inspiring wedding venue. Built in 1869 to carry to carry tea back from China, this celebration sailing clipper travelled the world and survived the high seas to become one of the fastest and greatest of her time.

The ship boasts a spectacular riverside setting, with a sweeping view across the Thames and to the city beyond. Her towering masts and rigging rise up into the sky, creating a dramatic silhouette against the London skyline.

Cutty Sark is available for evening hire and is a truly unique wedding venue. In an ambitious feat of engineering, the ship has been lifted three meters into the air above her dry dock, creating a spectacular space below for entertaining. It is the only place in the world where you can celebrate your marriage beneath the dramatic hull of a three-masted sailing vessel.

From drinks on the weather deck with its breathtaking river views, to ceremonies on the ‘tween deck where precious cargoes were once carried, to dinner and dancing under the gleaming copper-coloured hull, Cutty Sark is a very special place to celebrate.

This iconic venue provides a magnificent setting at the gateway to the Maritime Greenwich UNESCO World Heritage Site, exclusively for you and your guests to explore and enjoy.
