The Mercure Milton Keynes Abbey Hill is a Beautiful wedding venue situated on the outskirts of Milton Keynes, boasting stunning grounds with fantastic views overlooking the golf course. We are one of the only Wedding venues in Milton Keynes to be able to offer an outdoor ceremony in our picturesque gazebo.

Our romantic Crownhill Suite is suitable for up to 60 guests. This room benefits from lots of natural light from the full-length windows overlooking our garden courtyard and terrace. And if you’re looking to break away from the traditional sit-down meal, why not opt for our outdoor BBQ for a more relaxed feel.

For larger weddings we offer two beautiful function rooms suitable for up to 150 guests. The Watling Suite is located close to our hotel bar and guests can move freely around the public areas and outdoor terrace. Alternatively, our Clubhouse Suite is complete with dancefloor and bar with Prosecco on-tap! Both our larger rooms have been designed with a contemporary feel, the luxurious backdrop will complement any colour scheme.

If you’ve been dreaming of a romantic outdoor ceremony, then look no more. Our exquisite gazebo is licensed for up to 80 guests and benefits from stunning views across the Abbey Hill golf course, providing a truly unique experience for all.

Fantastic wedding

Our wedding at the Mecure Hotel Abbey Hill Milton Keynes was a huge success not least due to the efforts of Dace, Kemal and the whole team at the hotel, not only the events team but reception, the restaurant and everyone else. Dace was brilliant in the planning of the event allowing us to make whatever changes and additions we wanted as the day grew closer. From the outset it was clear to us that she had a grip on the event and we were very much put at ease by her confidence and attitude.

The hotel were flexible over the setting up of the wedding and even to the extent of arranging for us to have the wedding in the Watling Suite and then resetting that room for the wedding breakfast which was exactly what we wanted and clearly involved a great deal of work for the Events team.

We found that the inclusion of a wedding planner florist and wedding stationary really useful as it helped to manage the budget and ensured these separate people not only worked together to make our day special but they bounced ideas off of each other which meant that the room looked fantastic for both the ceremony and the wedding breakfast without imposing additional expense.

The staff dealt with any request or issue immediately and professionally, even the two musicians we engaged mentioned how friendly the staff were. All the staff not just the event team but everyone, we had some elderly guests staying at the hotel and they were similarly well accommodated.

In all I cannot praise the hotel enough for the way they managed the event. Any and all delays in the itinerary or service were caused by us, not the hotel who worked tirelessly to keep us on track.
